I was lucky enough to meet Kara in Colorado (where I live) at an event a local salon put on. She cut and styled my hair and it looked completely transformed. My curls were perfect golden spirals and she taught me everything she was doing along the way so I could style at home. She listened to my concerns and goals and put that at the front of how she chose to cut my hair. She really showed me she valued what I wanted and she used her skills and intuition to make it happen. She put so much time and effort into my hair it definitely shows. I have received numerous compliments since the cut. Thank you so much!

Kara is literally heaven sent. I just moved to Utah and was so worried I wasn’t going to be able to find someone to cut curly hair... but WAS I WRONG! Each and every time I go it is an absolute treat. She never disappoints y'all and this is coming from someone who has consistently received bad hair for the majority/if not all of their life. She is TRULY an expert in her field. She has exceeded all of my expectations and makes sure to keep my hair goals in mind. Also, her salon is kept SO clean and I watched her assistant perform additional sanitation measures once their following client had left (which, who can be mad about thorough cleanliness). 10000/10 would recommend her to any curly girl who is feeling out of luck with their hair journey. I am so so happy I found her and would drive far to continue to go to her.

"Kara is AMAZING!!! My 9-year-old daughter has long, naturally curly hair. I have taken her to several different stylist over the years and I have tried just about every product under the sun to style and tame her curls but we've always been disappointed with the results until today when I took her to Kara! The first amazing thing about Kara is that she knows how to cut curly hair!!! My daughter's hair is a bit tricky because the top layer is a relaxed curl while the bottom layer is much more of a tight curl. So, the top layer just gets frizzy and hangs longer than the bottom layer and within ten minutes of styling her hair, it just looks like a mess! I have taken her to at least 5 other stylist and suggested they "layer" cut that top layer somehow so that it doesn't just cover up the cute, nicer curls on the bottom layer but every time we walk away with the same old problem and sometimes it's even looked worse. But, no today! Kara stagger cut her curls in a way that lifted that top layer and has given my daughter's hair a whole new dimension! It looks so much better than it did before! Kara really does know what she's doing when it comes to cutting curly hair! The next amazing thing about Kara is how she took the time to teach us how to wash and style her hair, step by step! When we first arrived she sat down with me and let me explain all of my concerns about her hair which is when I told her that I've tried everything but just couldn't get her hair to look good no matter what I did! With that in mind, Kara explained everything we needed to know and then she not only showed us how to do everything but she also had us try it for ourselves so we felt we knew what we were doing! She is a very good teacher! She explains everything in a way that makes sense and doesn't seem too hard or overwhelming. Not only that but she gave us a paper with all of the instructions and said we could call or text if we had any questions or concerns. My daughter's hair looked the best it has ever looked. My daughter even said, "Wow! I have never seen my hair look so healthy!" Her curls looked shiny and bouncy and super healthy and cute! She's been teased at school for having wild, untamed hair so she is so glad we now know what we are doing to make it look nice. Another amazing thing about Kara is her salon! Oh my goodness, that massage chair was WONDERFUL!!! Her salon is clean and comfortable and yes, she has one of those state of the art massage chair in her salon which is just what this stressed out mom needed, a relaxing massage!!! She also had lots of yummy snacks and a variety of delicious drinks too including Bai (my favorite) and even hot chocolate! It felt like a hometown, high class experience! I loved it! While we were there, we got to see the end result of two other clients she was just finishing up with and their hair also looked AMAZING! She had cut, colored and styled their hair. She took the time to check everything over more than once to make sure she and her clients were satisfied with the way their hair looked before they left her salon, she didn't just rush them out the door which impressed me too! Kara is down to earth, super talented and the perfect stylist for anyone! I am so glad we found her! And, I am really looking forward to using the DevaCurl products especially now that I know what I am doing. One other thing to note, she is one of DevaCurl's educators- you don't get that kind of qualification without being a rock star hair stylist who knows your stuff! Look no further! Kara is your girl!!!"

With her amazing knowledge base, kind demeanor, and patience of a saint, my life was altered for the better!
